The WM4000 is the “new generation” of thin and narrow band saws. The WM4000 combines the advantages of thin and narrow strips with the advantages of automated splitting technologies, making it the ideal choice for wood producers.

Only one operator is needed to operate all the functions of the boom, making the WM4000 a very profitable machine. The WM4000 adapts quickly to the demands of any industrial environment and delivers higher throughput and lower investment and operating costs than alternative technologies, offering the opportunity to increase profit and rapidly expand production.

The WM4000 can be used as a stand-alone machine for processing all solid wood or used as an add-on to existing production equipment for processing irregularly shaped logs and for jobs that cannot be fulfilled on existing equipment.

A modern PLC type electronic device has a 19cm HMI touchscreen that displays board thickness, prism size as well as head height and position and band power. It offers new ways to increase productivity by reducing unnecessary head movements. A built-in material pusher automatically turns on when the boards are removed.

The frame is strengthened to be reliable for high loads – 50% more steel is used than in the WM3500. Servo motors provide fast and accurate movement of the head in the vertical direction, which increases the productivity of the shift.

Powerful hydraulics make handling large logs easy and various options are available to meet all customer requirements.
