WB2000 – PROFESSIONAL WHIPING AT A HIGH LEVEL!

Wood-Mizer’s knowledge of the needs of customers in international markets has resulted in a bandsaw that is the best that both narrowband and wideband technologies can offer.

The WB2000 model is a heavy-duty machine with a very robust construction, does not require complex and expensive maintenance and is distinguished by an extremely efficient operation. The WB2000 uses a 75mm or 100mm wide band with stellite tips.

To ensure the best visibility over the cutting processes, a video surveillance system with two cameras is offered as standard, and up to four cameras can be added as an option.

The professional version is equipped with a 12-inch touch screen that displays various parameters such as material dimensions, current head height and basic motor power. To adjust these parameters, the operator simply needs to use the touchscreen to enter new settings. The economy version uses a 5.7-inch touch screen with the latest version of the PLC3 Setworks thicknesser.

The robust frame construction allows the processing of logs weighing up to 6t. All hydraulic log handling functions – such as – press, chain turner, driven rollers, side supports and prism grippers – are modular and can be moved to different locations on the the frame if it is no.

The WB2000 can be used as a stand-alone bench saw for full timber processing or as an addition to an existing business for processing irregularly shaped and oversized logs or to produce jobs for which existing equipment is not suitable. Thanks to the different hydraulic packages and frame lengths, the boom is very flexible. It can split large diameter hardwood and tropical logs from 2.4 meters to 12 meters.
